Mike found this tea at the World Tea Expo in Las Vegas. It is made near Keemun, so it shares many of the same flavors. However, they handle the leaves a bit differently, and the tea is rolled into little curls that are quite shiny. Songluo Mountain is located between Quimen (aka Keemun) and the city of Huangshan in southern Anhui Province. They make sure that the oxidation is slow and controlled, so that the lovely flavors develop over the hours. To get the shiny curls, high temperatures are required during the firing, yet they avoid any burnt or smoky flavors.

The flavors come through nicely. It has a very good taste and aroma. It cost much more from other places. I love how Harney and Sons have different sizes for any price.
I usually like a dark, bold tea but Songluo Full has become a new favorite. It is light and slightly sweet. While it can take milk, it is best without sweetener or milk. A completely different tea than Songluo Broken, which lacked the Full's refined characteristics..
I bought this when Mao Feng became unavailable, and I've been very happy with it. It has a full, mellow, and pleasant taste. It's now among my favorite teas.
