5 Great Teas to Drink in Summer

5 Great Teas to Drink in Summer

When summer temps start to soar, there’s nothing like a refreshing glass of iced tea to cool you down. Discover some of our favorites, from mint verbena to blue lavender.

Move over, hot tea. It’s iced tea’s time in the sun.

When summer temps start to soar and your sweat glands begin to put in some overtime, there’s nothing like a refreshing glass of iced tea to cool you down. There’s a reason why iced tea was referred to as “the house wine of the South” in the movie “Steel Magnolias.” Southerners know what’s good for when it’s hot.

Next time you’re feeling a titch sweat-tea, try an ice-cold sweet tea as an antidote. Some of our favorite summertime tea flavors are listed below. Give them a try or whip up a pitcher of your personal favorite. And if you’ve got the AC cranked up to arctic levels then, by all means, enjoy a cup of hot tea while you chill inside.

  1. Blood Orange Fresh Brew Iced Tea

Apple, orange peel, rose hips, hibiscus, beetroot, safflowers, marigold petals, blood orange, raspberry, grapefruit, and orange flavors—we know, right? With all those light fruity and flowery flavors, you can’t help but become one with summer.

  1. Mint Verbena

Relax and unwind with this caffeine-free herbal tea. This refreshing beverage also has some medicinal value: mint is good for upset tummies, which parents sometimes get more often during summer school vacations.

  1. French Super Blue Lavender

Another plant known for its calming, soothing properties, our deep blue lavender tea is sourced from the perfume capital of the French Riviera. When iced, the blue of this tea is as inviting as a refreshing dip in the pool. Many of our customers enjoy combining it with other teas, like chamomile and Earl Grey. A favorite nighttime tea, it pairs well with jammies.

  1. Organic Green with Coconut Fresh Brew Iced Tea

When the weather gets too hot, kick summer heat in the butt with this organic green tea. Its lemongrass, ginger, vanilla, and sweet coconut flavors will transport you directly to the beach. Flip flops optional but highly recommended.

  1. Matcha tea

On the other end of the flowery summer spectrum, we find matcha representing summer veggies. Our vibrant green matcha has an intense spinach and artichoke flavor. Whether or not matcha’s unique flavor is literally your cup of tea, if you love it try this out: a matcha iced latte. It could be a matcha made in heaven.
