On our recent trip to Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, our friend Lu showed us a few different types of tea made from the Jiuken tea plant. The use of this tea plant variety has decreased over time. Most teas are made with a different clone that yields more tea. The plant originates from the mountains surrounding the reservoir known as Thousands of Islands. This Jiuken plant does create lovely flavors, and this black tea is a great example of that. We love the floral and fruity flavors.
