Beverly worked with the owner, David, and his assistant, Hans, on a new garden north of Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana. For their first effort, it is very impressive. We thought it was reminiscent of Anji Black, and that is no small feat. Let us support them so that they can continue their efforts!

The leaves looked uncut, I didn’t measure with my spoon but simply put pinches of leaves in the basket strainer when I made a pot for my mother and me to enjoy. It brewed up as a nice amber colored tea that we drank plain and enjoyed with shortbread.
Delicious black tea! Has a a distinct muscatel flavor that is signature of a good summer flush Darjeeling! As a Louisianian I’m proud and pleased to know we can produce such a delicious tea. Y’all help support this tea garden!
I looked forward to trying this tea, grown in Louisiana. The first thing I noticed was the very long leaves, dark black in color. The aroma is mild, though the flavor is rich, with a malty undertone. It reminds me of Harney's Black Amba Gems. It would be good with a splash of milk and/or sugar.
This is a very well-rounded tea. It has a lovely aroma with no briskness. There is a delightful floral quality that lingers at the back of my palate. I drink this either plain or with a little cream. I hope they'll be able to get this in more regularly in the future because I will definitely buy this again.
