Disney’s Mickey Mouse Overnight Oats

Serves 2

Bonnie took the hibiscus, rosehips, and vanilla flavors of Mickey Mouse’s tea and complemented them with dark chocolate, cranberry, apple, orange zest, walnuts, and coconut for a hearty breakfast that will supply you with Mickey-level energy and enthusiasm!

Ingredients:

  • 1 C rolled oats
  • 1 ½ C oat, nut or regular milk
  • ½ C vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 Harney & Sons Mickey Mouse Tea Sachets
  • 1 red apple
  • ¼ C dark chocolate chips, melted
  • ¼ C cranberry sauce
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • ¼ C walnuts
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, and honey. Mix well.
  2. Using scissors, remove the string and tag from 2 tea sachets. Mix the tea bags into the oat mixture. Cover and place in the fridge overnight.
  3. The next day, remove the tea sachets and discard them.
  4. Use a star cutter to cut out stars from the skin of the red apple.
  5. Spread the melted dark chocolate into a 4” circle on a sheet of parchment paper.
  6. While it is still melted, place a 3-4” cookie cutter with the profile of Disney’s Mickey Mouse into the melted chocolate. Allow the chocolate to set. When the chocolate is hardened, push out the Mickey Mouse-shaped chocolate piece.
  7. Spoon the oatmeal into a bowl. Decorate the top of the oatmeal bowl with cranberry sauce, orange zest, walnuts, chia seeds, shredded coconut, red apple stars, and the dark chocolate piece. Enjoy!

Disney’s Minnie Mouse Overnight Oats

When creating a Minnie Mouse version of these oats, Bonnie leaned into the rose, honey and caramel flavors of this tea and deepened those elements by adding dark and ruby chocolate chips, raspberries, edible rose petals, coconut, caramel sauce and banana. It’s like putting a bow on the start of your day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 C rolled oats
  • 1 ½ C oat, nut or regular milk
  • ½ C vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 Harney & Sons Minnie Mouse Tea Sachets
  • ¼ C dark chocolate chips, melted
  • ¼ C ruby chocolate chips, divided
  • White confetti sprinkles
  • ½ C fresh raspberries
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 2 tbsp edible rose petals
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 2 tbsp caramel sauce

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, and honey. Mix well.
  2. Using scissors, remove the string and tag from 2 tea sachets. Mix the tea bags into the oat mixture. Cover and place in the fridge overnight.

  4. Spread the melted dark chocolate into a 4” circle on a sheet of parchment paper. While it is still melted, place a 3-4” cookie cutter with the profile of Disney’s Minnie Mouse (or Disney’s Mickey Mouse) into the melted chocolate. Allow the chocolate to set. When the chocolate is hardened, push out the Minnie Mouse-shaped chocolate piece.
  5. Print out or trace an image of a Disney Minnie Mouse bow that will complement the size of your chocolate piece. Melt 2 tablespoons of the ruby chocolate chips. Using parchment paper and a toothpick, draw her bow using the pink chocolate. Decorate the bow with white confetti sprinkles. Allow to set.
  6. Spoon the oatmeal into a bowl. Decorate the top of the oatmeal bowl with raspberries, banana slices, rose petals, chia seeds, shredded coconut, ruby chocolate chips, the dark chocolate piece, and her bow. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
  7. Use any leftover melted dark chocolate and a toothpick to draw her eyelashes. Enjoy!
